Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1310.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin for Charles Ray "Chuck" Rogers, 60, a native of Franklin and a resident of New Iberia for the past seven years, who passed away Friday, October 11, 2013. Serving as pallbearers will be his sons, Chris C. Rogers and Maxwell P. Rogers, his brothers, Michael J. Rogers, Dale J. Rogers, and Oray P. Rogers, Jr., his nephew, Nicholas Tourney, and his son-in-law, Bodie Barrilleaux. He will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Ellen Buffone Rogers; five children, Chris Rogers and his wife Angie, Regan R. Barrilleaux and her husband Bodie, Stacy R. LaFont and her husband Earl, Stephanie R. Battaglio and her husband Scott, and Maxwell P. Rogers; his parents, Oray P. Rogers, Sr. and Louise Hebert Rogers; five siblings, Kathy R. Tourney and her husband Roy, Michael J. Rogers and his wife Julia, Dale J. Rogers and his wife Tammy, Oray P. Rogers, Jr. and his wife Beth, and Tammy Susan Rogers; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Kevin James Rogers; his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Nolie Parah Hebert; and his paternal grandparents, Whitney and Gladys Verret Rogers. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin on Monday, Oct. 14, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and again on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 8:00 AM until time of dismissal at 10:30 AM, with Mass to follow.
