Rosa Garcia Vila a native of Cuba and a resident of Morgan City passed away 
October 10, 2013 in Morgan City at the age of 92.

Rosa was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a school teacher for 
many years. Rosa was an Artist, and loved to create beautiful oil paints and 
leaves behind many paints that will be cherished for many generations. 
She enjoyed sweets and would often have desert before her meals. Rosa didn't 
know the word NO and would see to everyone's needs well before her own. Rosa 
had a magnetic smile that she wore everywhere she went. Rosa loved animals and 
nature; tending to her garden was one of her passions. Rosa put family first 
and enjoyed spending time with them all.

Rosa is survived by three daughters Rosie Womack, Eileen Torralbas, and Lian 
Torralbas. Rosa is also survived by her five grandchildren, four great-
grandchildren, and two great- great grandchildren.

Rosa is preceded in death by her husband Camilo Vila, her parents Alfredo 
Garcia del Campo and Estela Garcia Garcia.

A Mass will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday October 
12, 2013 at 1 PM.
