Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1311.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Sheila Rhodes Guidry, a native and lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 at her residence at the age of 61. Sheila is survived by her son, Gregory David Guidry of Morgan City; four brothers, Clyde Rhodes and his wife, Nancy, of Morgan City, Nathan Rhodes of Morgan City, Kenneth Rhodes and his wife, Betsy, of Morgan City; and Kim Rhodes and his wife, Cynthia, of Bayou Vista; three sisters, Dolores Fears and her husband, Mitchell "Chop", of Stephensville, Pamela Bordelon and her husband, Wiley "Jr.", of Berwick, and Rebecca Rhodes Kuhn and her husband, Darrell, of Bayou Lourse; three sister-in-laws, Mary Gaudet and her husband, Gene, of Morgan City, Maxine Brown and her husband, Pat, of Bayou Lourse, and Lynette Aulds and her husband, Randy, of Stephensville; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Glenn David Guidry; her father, Davis Clyde Rhodes; her mother, Sylvia Ann Estave Rhodes; her father- in-law, Edward Guidry; her mother-in-law, Barbara Guidry; and her step son, David Paul Guidry. Sheila was a loving and caring wife, mother, and sister. A peacemaker in the family, she listened to all sides of the story and never judged. Sheila was her fiercest when it came to her son, Greg, whom she loved with all of her heart. She was a great example of limitless forgiveness. She was an excellent cook and while her husband was famous for his gumbo, she was known for her banana cake. She was dedicated to her faith and God. While heaven is blessed to have her above, her family and friends will miss her on earth. The family requests that visitation be observed Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 6pm to 9pm at Hargrave Funeral Home with visitation resuming on Thursday, November 7th at 8am until time of services. A celebration of life for Sheila will take place November 7th at 10am and Catholic Services will follow at 2pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. Sheila will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her son, Gregory Guidry; her brothers, Clyde Rhodes, Nathan Rhodes, Kenneth Rhodes, and Kim Rhodes; her nephews, Brandon Fears and Nick Breaux. ===================
