Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1311.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Mary Theresa Rowland a native of Pierre Part and a resident of Bayou Vista went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday November 21, 2013 at the age of 72. Mary's greatest joy in life was to give to others. She was an active member of First Baptist Church she enjoyed being a part of the Golden Angels and singing in the Choir. She played an important role in Operation Christmas Child packing many boxes and praying over each one. She spent lots of time at garage sales and would bring home treasures to share with her family. She also enjoyed puzzles and would spend hours putting all the intricate pieces together. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Mary leaves behind to cherish her memories to two sons Solomon Isaac Rowland and his wife Beth of Patterson and Jacob Aaron Rowland of Houma. Three daughters Elizabeth Ann Rowland of Jeanerette, Sarah Jean Rowland Darce and her husband Willy of Bayou L'Ourse and Martha Ruth Alvarez and her husband George of New Iberia, and Juanita Vinning whom she thought of as her own daughter. A brother Joseph Junius Hebert of Belle River. Two sisters Marylouse Marie Cavalier and her husband Ervin of Pierre Part and Bettyjean Marie Hebert and her husband Nelson of Belle River. Her grandchildren Charles Ryan Rowland, Kayla Nicole Rowland, Kreisle Lynn Darce, Briana Nicole Rowland, Caleb Leon Otis Rowland, Stephen William Darce, Brandon Joseph Darce, Ricki Lynn Alvarez, Kalen Brady Alvarez, and Dekota Keith Sauce. Her great grandchild Alex Cramer Rowland. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Otis H. Rowland, her parents Anatole and Theresa Hebert her grandson Kip Darce, her brothers Bobby Hebert and Davis Hebert a sister Vivian Landry, her grandparents Lawrence Paul and Leana Hebert and Henry Sr. and Ameda Theriot . A time of remembrance and refection will be Wednesday November 27, 2013 at First Baptist Church from 9 am until 1 pm. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm with burial to follow at the Belle River Baptist Cemetery. ===================
