White, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 9:00 AM. Jimmy was a native of New Iberia and a longtime resident of Amelia, who passed away at the age of 63 on Monday, November 11, 2013, at Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center in Houma. He will be laid to rest in Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Jonathan Moore will officiate the services. Jimmy was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a loving and proud father and a dedicated and hard worker, working in the oil field industry as a welder / fitter. He was currently employed with Conrad Industries. Survivors include his four daughters, Jenny White, Ashley Barnes and her husband Buddy, Jamie White, and Julia Devillier and her husband Thomas; eight siblings, Oscar P. White, Jr., Loraine Jarreau, James David White, Ethel M. White, Archie L. White, Sr., Mary W. Theriot, Alice W. Adams, and Richard (Doug) White; his former wife and friend, Ann Spatafora White; nine grandchildren, Lance, Alexis, and Ashlyn Barnett, Ava, Lydia, and Liam Barnes, Jayden White, and Savanah and Matthew Devillier; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar P. White, Sr. and Alice Gertrude McAdams White; one sister Sharon White Burns; and one brother, Larry J. White.
