Amy Polaski Fears, 70, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at her home in Ville 
Platte. She was a Mississippi native and a former resident of Morgan City where 
she taught at Morgan City High School.
She was born Aug. 21, 1943.

Fears was buried Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Ville 
Plate. 
The Rev. Ross Ford officiated the services.

Fears is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bennie Lamar Fears and their son, 
Kevin Lamar Fears, all of Ville Platte. She is also survived by her sisters, 
Patricia P. Fontenot of Ville Platte and Elizabeth P. Hughes of Youngsville. 
Her survivors include one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Gus and Rubye Mae Picou 
Polsaki; and a brother, Joseph “Jody” Polaski.

Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.
