Mayola May Prestenbach February 23, 1934 December 19, 2013

Mayola May Prestenbach, 79, a native of Bayou L'ourse and resident of Morgan 
City passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Lafayette.

Mayola had a green thumb and enjoyed working in her yard gardening. She was an 
avid collector of what knots and knick knacks and would display different ones 
with the changing of the seasons. Mayola was married to her beloved husband, 
Alton Prestenbach for over 62 years; and a devoted mother and grandmother to 
her family. She will be lovingly remember by all who knew her.

Mayola is survived by her devoted husband and friend, Alton Prestenbach of 
Morgan City; two sons: Todd Prestenbach of Morgan City and Holly Prestenbach 
and his wife, Thelma of Morgan City; one daughter, Robin Richard and husband, 
Gerald of Morgan City; eight grandchildren: Heath, Rodrick, Dusten and Kelli 
Prestenbach, Dwayne, Casey, Conrad and Jim Richard, Frank Adams and Jacob 
Liner; 12 great grandchildren along with two sisters: Emma Duval and Patsy 
Fuselier.

Mayola was preceded in death by her parents, Author and Clara Boudreaux; two 
sisters: Leatrice Boudreaux and Mary Guidry; one niece, Denise Guidry and one 
nephew, Blaine Fuselier.

Visitation will take place on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic 
Church at 9am until time of mass at 11am. 

Mayola will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
