Rosalie Lawson-Woods, 68, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of 
Thibodaux, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 10:15 a.m.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral 
will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at New Mt. Carmel Baptist 
Church in Labadieville. 

Burial will follow in Allen Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by: three sons, Earl Woods, Jr. and wife Tremeka, Troy Woods, 
Sr., and Vincent Woods and wife Dacia; two daughters, Debra and Penny Woods; 
seven sisters, Mary Lawson-Davidson and husband U.S., Lynn and Wilma Jones, 
Gilda Robinson, Phyllis and Monica Jackson, and Barbara Hazy; six brothers, 
Jerry Lawson and wife Sibylle, Phelton Gray and wife Daisy, Joseph, Jr., Keith, 
Karl, and Cedric Jackson; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Earl Woods, Sr.; her parents, 
Jeremiah and Ida Hankton-Lawson; her father, Joseph Jackson, Sr.; sister, Betty 
Kelly; and brother, Charles Shelby, Sr. and a grandson, Jamal K. Woods.

Jones Funeral Home of Houma in charge of arrangements.
