Brodnax, 79, a native of Bastrop and a resident of Morgan City passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Teche Regional Hospital. Jimmy is survived by his four daughters: Ava Brodnax of Dallas, Cindy Hollis and husband, Bo of West Monroe, Sharonn Wilson of Carencro and Jessica Williams and husband, Asa of Morgan City; five sons: Kevin Wilson and wife, Linda of Alabama, Lonnie Mitcham and wife, Doris of Seattle, James Ronnie Brodnax and wife, Julie of Patterson, Randy Mitcham of Patterson and Phillip Randolf of Amelia; 13 grandchildren: Brian, Crystal, Cody, Bradley, Brandon, Randy Jr., Taylor, Carter, Dakota, Eli and Hailey, Hannah and Madison who he helped take care of the last several years who meant a lot to him; six great grandchildren: Madison, Samantha, Landon, Carson, Brycen and Starla along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his very special little buddy, Peanut. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hattie Brodnax; wife, Mary Vidos Brodnax; one brother, J.W. "Red" Brodnax; one grandson, Dustin Hollis and one great grandson, Cooper Clampit. A time of remembrance will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on Thursday, January 9, 2014 beginning at 5pm until 9pm and will resume on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the funeral home beginning at 9am until time of service at 1pm. Jimmy will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery. He will be laid to rest with full military honors provided by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad ===================
