Service time will be at 11 a.m., with Brother Bobby Hodnett officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and the visitation will resume on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Nativity Cemetery. Mary was born on April 25, 1944 and passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana in Lafayette. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, and going out dancing. Left behind to cherish her memory are her four children, Charles Johnson Jr. and wife, Bernadine, of New Iberia; Scarlette Darden and husband, John Paul Sr. of Charenton; Charlette Johnson of Charenton; Vicky Bordelon and husband, Darren Joe, of Deville, La.; two sisters, Shirley Vedrines of New Iberia and Theresa Louviere of New Iberia; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and her dog, Prissy. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Felix Buteaux of New Iberia and Theresa Clement Buteaux of Breaux Bridge; two children, Michael Johnson and Suzy Johnson; three brothers, George Broussard, Gerald Buteaux, and Louis Buteaux; and a sister, Irene Lemaire. Pallbearers will be John Paul Darden Sr., John Paul Darden Jr. Charles Johnson Jr., Darren Bordelon, Darren Bordelon II, Ted Vedrines and Tyler Bordelon.
