Sam is survived by his mom, Darlene E. Frye and his dad, William "Bill" A. Frye; his sister, Heather Nicole Citrano; his brother, Christopher "Chris" Frye; his maternal grandfather, Gerald Guillory; his maternal grandmother, Marleen Ward; his girlfriend and the love of his life, Christine Cuvillier; two nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Samuel Anthony Citrano Jr. Sam was full of love, laughter, and life. He was a sociable person who could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was definitely a smooth talker as well. He was fervently in love with the Lord and adored sharing him with others. Sam was the epitome of a big brother; reliable, protective, supportive, and giving. Sam enjoyed sports, especially football. He was a definite WHODAT, an avid Saint's fan all the way. In high school, Sam (known as Country to his classmates) excelled at all sports. He left big shoes for his younger brother, Chris, to fill. Sam was also a wonderful son, as reliable to his mom and dad as he was to his brother and sister. He would drop everything when his parents needed him. He was a treasured member of Higher Ground Family Church. A bright light any many people's lives, the world is better for having his presence if only for a brief time. Most importantly he'll be missed but never forgotten. The family requests that visitation be observed Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 9am until time of services at 2pm with Pastor and family friend, Ronnie Cuvillier officiating the services. Sam will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. The family of Sam would like to express their deep gratitude to Higher Ground Family Church for all they've done for the family and especially Sam. ===================
