Maybell "May" Griffin, 68, a native of Pineville, Mississippi and a longtime resident of Bayou Vista passed away peacefully February 4, 2014 surrounded by all those who loved her.

Maybell was an amazing lady who had an unconditional love for her family doing all she could for them. Maybell was a hard working lady. She worked at the Anchor and Shooters Lounge for many years. She enjoyed being outdoors if the sun was out she didn't miss an opportunity to be outside, she loved planting flowers and decorating her yard. Maybell enjoyed a good Barbequed Steak especially with a cold Coors Light. 
Maybell will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Maybell is survived by her daughter, Tina Teague of Bayou Vista, son Tony Teague, of San Antonio Tx. Grandchildren Amanda Francis, and David Doucet Jr. and three great grandchildren Kade, Tyler,and Quentin. Her two sisters Penny McNeil, Ora Raines and her husband Terry, four brothers Tommy and his wife Fran, Jeff and his wife Lupe, Jackie and his wife Sue, Tony and his wife Ann, and numerous nieces , nephews and friends.

Maybell joins in heaven her husband David Griffin, three children Ralph, Wanda, and Mark Teague, parents Robert and Gladys Hammons, three brothers JW, Robert, and Frank Hammons.

Visitation will be observed Friday February 7, 2014 at Hargrave Funeral Home beginning at 5 pm until 9 pm. Visitation will continue Saturday February 8, 2014 at Hargrave Funeral Home at 12 pm with services at 3 pm.
