Carl Ray Hawkins, 50, a native of Franklin and a resident of Verdunville, died 
Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at the Post Acute Medical Specialty Hospital in 
Lafayette.

Visitation will be Saturday at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin from 9 
a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. 

Burial will follow in the Nazarene Baptist Church Cemetery in Verdunville.

Survivors include two sons, Dwayde Hawkins and Carl Hawkins Jr., both of 
Franklin; five brothers, Ron Hawkins of Wichita, Kan., John Hawkins of 
Amarillo, Texas, Wayne Thomas of Verdunville, Ricky Thomas of Centerville, and 
Harry Lee Thomas of St. Martinsville; five sisters, Karen Gier of Bayou Vista, 
Janet Ambroise of Miami, Jean Darby of Verdunville, and Faye Coleman and Greta 
Francis, both of Baldwin; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.
