Amelie Marie Broussard, born in Loreauville, LA and resident of Morgan City, LA 
passed away, Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her loving 
family at the age of 95.

Amelie was a very loving and caring mother of her 13 children, her 
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, they were 
all very dear to her heart; she loved them and their visits. 
She will be greatly missed by all that would visit her. God has gained a 
wonderful angel.

She is survived by seven sons, Merlin Broussard and his wife Dorothy, George 
Broussard and his wife Genevieve, Floyd Broussard and his wife Diane, Tommy 
Broussard and his wife Evelyn, Leroy Broussard and his wife Lana, Robert 
Broussard and his wife Debbie, and Clint Broussard; five daughters, Alberta 
Adams, Beulah Bourgeois and her husband Michael, Emelda Lightsey, Janet Fincher 
and her husband David, and Janice Courville, and her husband Armond, one 
daughter-in-law, Mary Kirkland; her dearest friend, Anna Belle Broussard; one 
brother, Veron Rebert; one sister, Sadie Breaux; and numerous grandchildren, 
great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Amelie is preceded in death by her parents, Cora Decuir and George Rebert; her 
loving husband and the love of her life, Louis Broussard; one son, Lloyd 
Broussard; four grandsons David Jr., Louis, Leroy, and Merlin Jr.; one grand-
daughter, Arlene; three son-in-laws, Clinton Boudreaux, Warren Adams, and 
Ronnie Lightsey; one daughter-in-law, Betty Broussard; and numerous brothers, 
sisters, nephews, and nieces.

Pallbearers will include, Lloyd Broussard, Jr., Michael Broussard, Ronnie 
Lightsey, Jr., Waylon Lightsey, Joe Billingsley, Jr., and AJ Courville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church 
beginning at 8:30 am until 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 
conducted at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 11:00 am.

Amelie will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery
