GEHRKE, GARY LEE 
August 30, 1955 Ñ March 30, 2014

Gary Lee Gehrke, 58, of Morgan City, formerly of Manawa, Wis., passed away 
Sunday, March 30, 2014. 
He was born on Aug. 30, 1955, to Paul and Marie (Carew) Gehrke at New London 
Hospital.

Gary served in the military with the U.S. Army. Gary worked as a tankerman for 
Enterprise Co. of Houma.

He is survived by his parents; one brother, John and Nancy Gehrke and their 
children, Elizabeth and Jacob Mayer and Charlie of Illinois, Kristina and Brian 
Jacobs of Milwaukee, Wis., and Kathryn Gehrke of Colorado; sister, Theresa and 
Jerry Cook of Red Wing, Minn.; sister, Marcia and Mariano Fdez de Jauregui of 
Mexico and their children, Aleiva Fdez de Jauregui of Las Vegas, Leah Marcum 
and Demetrius and Isaiah of Texas; sister, Karen and Roman Punahele and their 
children, Emeliana, Regina, Rosalie and Jordan of Hawaii; and sister, Karla and 
Russell Jahoula and their children, Sarah, Mitchell and Riley. He is also 
survived by a very special friend, Adel Broussard.

A memorial service for Gary will be held at the Fleury Parish Hall, 302 
Greenwood St., behind Trinity Episcopal Church in Morgan City Friday, April 11, 
2014, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
