(April 18, 1936 - March 6, 2014) Bernard C. "Bernie" Marino, 77, a resident of Morgan City passed away March 6, 2014 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Bernie was born on April 18, 1936 in Morgan City the son of Carlo Anthony Marino Sr. and Loretta Catherine Mistretta Marino. Bernie was a honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and loved going to church daily. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law, Carolyn Marino of Morgan City; three nephews, Carlo Anthony Marino III and wife Danielle of Denham Springs, Christopher Bernard Marino and wife Angelle of Pine Grove, Luke Marino and wife Sherrie of Texas, four nieces Carmen Marie Jackson and husband Jeremy of Le Claire, Iowa; Angie Hughes and husband Thomas, Josephine Wise and husband James, and Bernadette Benson all of Texas. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Carlo Anthony Marino Jr. and Luke Marino; one nephew Nicholas Joseph Marino. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Greg Fratt officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until mass time at Sacred Heart on Monday. Interment will follow mass in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
