ROMERO, MARILYN BROUSSARD 
(January 5, 1927 - March 29, 2014)

Marilyn Broussard Romero, 87, a lifelong resident of Berwick passed away on 
Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Morgan City Health Care.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Veronica Governale and her husband, Paul 
of Morgan City; one grandson, Matthew Governale of Morgan City along with a 
host of nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Romero Sr.; her parents,, 
Edward and Gertrude Broussard; two sisters: Emma Guidroz and Ethel Robicheaux 
along with two brothers: Gus and Beverly Broussard.

Visitation will take place on Monday, March 31, 2014 at St. Stephen Catholic 
Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. The 
visitation will resume on Tuesday at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 
12:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 12:30 p.m. and 

she will be laid to rest after the mass in the Morgan City Mausoleum
