She leaves to cherish her memory her son Nick J. "Nicky" Russo Jr. and wife Deborah of Kiln, Mississippi; Her daughter Jeannie Bailey and husband Michael Wayne "Mickey" Bailey of Lafayette, Louisiana; six grandchildren David Russo and his wife Lelia, Jerry Russo and Gayla Falcon, Chad Bailey and wife Cherie, Bret Bailey and wife Serena, Kayla Worrel and husband Stephen; eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; one sister Irene Giacoma of Watsonville, California and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Russo served in the Womens Army Corps. She worked 30 plus years for Mobil Oil. She loved her family more than anything, especially traveling miles to watch her grandsons play ball. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Russo was preceded in death by her husband Nick J. Russo Sr.; her parents Santino and Maria Musante Zolezzi, brother Vic Musante of Watonsville, California. Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00am following the visitation and she will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Grandchildren David and Jerry Russo, Chad and Bret Bailey, Great Grandchildren Kurt Russo and Josh Domangue. Honorary Pallbearer will be great grandson Ben Russo. Thanks to all of the nurses and staff at Cornerstone Village South, who showed her special love and kindness. The family would also like to thank Hospice of Acadiana especially Pat Richard for their extra special comfort and care.
