Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2014/sm1403.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Helen Romero Trosclair will be held Monday, March 17, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 11:00 AM and the recitation of the rosary at 1:30 PM. She will be laid to rest in the Perpetual Park Cemetery in Franklin. Father Gregory Cormier will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Trosclair, Anthony Trosclair, Howard Trosclair, Abbie Trosclair, Jr., John Trosclair, Richard Romero, and Jerry Trosclair, Jr. Mrs. Mary Helen was a native and resident of New Iberia, and was a former longtime resident of Franklin. She passed away at the age of 75 on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Belle Teche Nursing and Rehabiltation Center in New Iberia. Survivors include five sons, Abbie A. Trosclair, Jr. of St. Martinville, John A. Trosclair of Patterson, Howard J. Trosclair and his wife Ann of Centerville, Anthony E. Trosclair of Patterson, and Jerry J. Trosclair and his wife Mary Ann of Franklin; two daughters, Patricia T. Gary and her husband Donald of New Iberia, and Joyrita T. Guidry and her husband Todd of Sunset; two brothers, Richard and Lester Romero; four sisters, Betty Jean Decoux, Mildred Bonin, Lucille LeBlanc, and Esther Boatwright; daughter-in-law, Gayle Verdin; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Abbie Antoine Trosclair, Sr.; her parents, Melvin and Lorenza Romero; two brothers, Lizay and Joe Romero; four sisters, Anna Mae Gary, Audrey Crochet, Eula Mae Boudreaux, and Theresa Callais; and three grandsons, Wayne Trosclair, Keith Trosclair, and Eric Trosclair.
