Tudury, Theodore Anthony Tudury Jr. was born in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi in 1921 and passed away due to Alzheimers on March 2, 2014. He found his joy in his family, friends and making people laugh. He could remember students names 20 - 30 years after teaching them. He valued the importance of education and was always willing to help someone, anyone, who needed a helping hand or just to talk. He was firm but fair, and logical. He was in the pro baseball feeder leagues in Florida, but when WWII came about, he chose to serve his country. After returning to the States, he had numerous offers to Coach in College and Professional Sports, but he chose to keep it on smaller a more personal level. He was inducted into the Central Catholic Hall of Fame. He was also Coach of the year in 1957 chosen by the Louisiana Sports writers. He could hit a half court shot from center court (under hand) and rarely missed. He was an athlete in all sports. In death, he has continued to literally change the world. There is not a day that goes by that someone doesnŐt mention him, his life or how it has personally touched theirs. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Scott Tudury and wife Yvette of Berwick; two step daughters, Mary Beth C. Driskell and husband Charles of Morgan City, Penny C. Naquin and husband Robert of Thibodaux; one granddaughter, Emily Blair Tudury; five step grandchildren, Bethany Oliver, Ginger Jones, Jamie Naquin, Joshua Driskell, Megan Driskell Evans; five step great grandchildren, Alexis Naquin, Ami Naquin, Mckenzie Jones, Max Evans, Emma Evans. Coach was preceded in death by his parents Theodore Tudury Sr. and Mae King Tudury; wife Grace Landry Tudury; one sister, Dorothy Russell. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Danny Poche officiating.
