Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2014/sm1404.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services for Lou Ellen Lange Bogan will be held Monday, April 14, 2014, at 10:00 AM at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 8:00AM at the mortuary. She will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Patterson. Fr. Herb Bennerfield will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Naquin, Ray Frederick, Rydel Frederick, Joey Aufieri, Phillip Jefferson, and Collin Jefferson. Mrs. Lou Ellen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who passed away at the age of 73 on Friday, April 11, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, TX. Born in Franklin, Lou Ellen spent her early years in Calumet where she was raised with her parents and brother. Later in life she moved to Verdunville where she has been a longtime resident. She had a love of growing and tending to her flower garden. She was also a wonderful cook and took great joy in feeding family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include six children, Albert Naquin, Mathilda N. Ashley and her husband Kenneth, Linda Balderas, Myrtle Naquin, April Bogan, and Matt Naquin; 11 grandchildren, Ray and Rydel Frederick, Salley Perez, Sunday Landry, Joey Aufieri, Lacey Naquin, Judy Zeringue, Liza Enlow, and Ariel, Phillip and Collin Jefferson; as well as numerous great grandchildren, other family members, and friends who loved and adored her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kendall Michael Bogan; an infant daughter, Carrie Marie Naquin; her parents, Oscar Lange and Mae Rose Clausen Lange; and her brother, Wilbert Lange.
