Brown, age 42, a native of Morgan City, LA., and a resident of Mount Pleasant, MI, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 7:32 PM at her residece in Mount Pleasant, MI. Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Siracusaville Recreation Center, 1110 Grace St., Morgan City, LA., from 11:00 AM until funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery in Morgan City, LA. Keisha was born on March 3, 1972, the daughter of Johnny Mac and Mamie Lou (Skinner) Johnson, Sr. She obtained her MasterÕs Degree in social work from Tulane University in New Orleans. Keisha married Damon Brown on May 24, 2003, in New Orleans. Keisha was head coach for the Alma College womenÕs basketball program and head coach for the Scots for five years. From 2009-2014 she served as the principal and athletic director at Sacred Heart Academy and coached the Sacred Heart Academy boys basketball team from 2003-2009, leading the Irish to several conference and district titles, regional crowns, and runner-up showing in the 2006 Class D State Championship game. She had previously been employed by Gratiot County Mental Health. Keisha was a member of Faith Community Church. She enjoyed coaching basketball. She created the Angel Wings Fund after being diagnosed with breast cancer which sets up college scholarships for children who have lost a parent to cancer. Keisha loved spending time with her family and friends and the Mt. Pleasant sisterhood. Keisha is survived by her husband Damon Brown and her daughter Angel, both of Mt. Pleasant; mother Mamie Johnson of Mt. Pleasant; father-in-law Paul Brown of Youngstown, OH, and three brothers Johnnie (Chika) Johnson, Jr., of Amelia, La., Troy Madise of Morgan City, and Trent Madise of New Iberia, LA; two sisters Sonya (Dwayne) Celestin of Houma, LA, and Angela (Carl) Young of Morgan City, LA; two god-daughters Keshaun Johnson and Taylor Davis, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Johnny Johnson, Sr., mother-in-law Anne Brown, grandparents and two aunts and two uncles. ===================
