Clark, Sr. will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, April 21, 2014, at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin, with Reverends Joe Sauce, Bobby Hodnett, and Marty Romero officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at Ibert's Mortuary from 11:00 AM until time of service. A native of Bunkie and a longtime resident of Franklin, Mr. Clark passed away at the age of 94 on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. Mr. Eugene was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who served his country as a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps during WWII in the South Pacific Theatre. A dedicated Christian man, he served his church in various capacities, including as a former Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Sunday School Superintendent. In 1982 he retired as Plant Superintendent from CLECO, where he dedicated many years of faithful service. His hobbies included amateur radio, hunting, and gardening. Survivors include two sons, Eugene S. "Stu" Clark, Jr. and Ronald D. Clark and his wife Liz; two step-sons, Johnnie Rex Perrett and James Perrett and his wife Jane; one step-daughter, Brenda P. Boudreaux; seven grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Edna Johnson Clark; his 2nd wife, Magdaline Perrett Clark; his parents, Thomas Clark and Elizabeth Holston Clark; two brothers, George Oliver Clark and Elvin Clark; one daughter-in-law, Jean Ellyn Mitcheltree Clark; and one step-son-in-law, Glenn J.
