Stacey Laverne Ellender, 42, a lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away on 
Friday, April 25, 2014 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

Everyone adored Stacey because she was such a kind hearted person that brought 
smiles to people's faces. Stacey could tell some of the most interesting jokes 
and stories that kept people rolling for hours; she was considered the life of 
the party. Stacey enjoyed fishing, singing and dancing along with spending time 
with her beloved dog, Beau. She was an avid reader and liked spending time 
working crossword puzzles. Her church family at "Morgan City Family Church" was 
a very important part of her life and they loved Stacey deeply as well. 
Stacey will be woefully missed but never forgotten by all who knew her.

Stacey is survived by her two daughters: Amber Blanco of Morgan City and Casey 
Blanco of Florida; two sisters: Christine Feld and Melinda Sawyer both of 
Morgan City; one niece, Rebecca Hicks of N.C.; one great niece, Kristina Clark 
and one great nephew, Gavin Clark; father and mother-in-law: Ronald and Essie 
Blanco Sr.; along with three of her very special friends: Traci Bruno, Adam 
Hantz and Lisha Gagneaux.

Stacey was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Shirley Himel.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Twin City Funeral Home 
beginning at 5pm until 9pm and will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, 
April 30, 2014 beginning at 9am until time of service at 11am. 

She will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery
