  Morris Lewis, Jr., age 58, a native and resident of Jeanerette, La., died 
Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 1:40 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette.
 
    The Lewis family will receive extended family & friends on Friday April 4, 
2014 from 5:00 P.M. Š 6:00 P.M. at Jones Funeral Home 604 Lovette St. 
Jeanerette, La. Visitation will be Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the St. Jude 
Spiritual Church in Jeanerette, La., from 8:00 A.M. until the beginning of 
funeral services at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Arthur Lee Alexander, Officiating.  

Burial will be in St. Jude Cemetery of Jeanerette, La.
 
    Mr. Lewis leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife, Glenda C. Lewis 
of Jeanerette, La.; five daughters, LaKeisha M. Lewis, LaTanya R. Lewis-Lazaro 
(Clarence), Simone M. Lewis-Green (DeÕMarcus), Gwendolyn F. Lewis, & Kiera B. 
Lewis all of Jeanerette, La.; three sons, Morris Lewis I (Kris) of Jeanerette, 
La, Norris Lewis (fiancˇe Gretchen Colar) of New Iberia, La, and Blair Lewis of 
Jeanerette, La.; his father, Morris Lewis, Sr. of Jeanerette, La.; seven 
sisters, Gloria L. Walters (Eugene), Bishop Diane L. Colar (Felton Sr.) both of 
Jeanerette, La., Barbara L. Toussaint (Charles Sr.) of Charenton, La., Doris L. 
Joseph (Rev. Arnold Ray) of Franklin, La., Mercedes L. Francois (Ivory Sr.), 
Jeanette L. Walters (Dallas, Sr.) both of Jeanerette, La., & Rev. Monette L. 
Bolden (Buffus Sr.) of Abbeville, La.; seventeen grandchildren, JaNasia Lewis, 
Trinity Lewis, A'Myree Lewis, Braylynn Gilbert, Keiland Lewis, Kyra Lewis, 
Clarence Lazaro, Tiana Lewis, Tyrese Lewis, Willie Ruffins, Dustin Ruffins, 
Ania Ruffins, Joseph Ardoin, Shaconya Colar, and Secret Colar; his mother-in-
law, Mary Alice Bourda-Colar of Jeanerette, La.; four sisters-in-law, Rosalind 
Diggs (Herman) of St. Martinville, La., Judith Colar of New Iberia, La., Robin 
C. Gibson of Beaumont, Tx. and Angele Kiel of Glencoe,La.; one brother-in-law, 
Carl Stewart of Glencoe,La. and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
 
    Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his mother, the late Arch-Bishop Julia 
Lewis; his grandparents, Daniel and Viola Williams, his aunt, Rev. Martha W. 
Willery, and his father-in-law, Joseph Colar.
