Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2014/sm1404.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Germaine Marie Boyne Munk, a resident of Berwick, passed away, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Morgan City at the age of 79. Germaine was born October 2, 1934 in Houma, LA., to Edward Bennett and Onesia Marie Avet Boyne. Germaine was of the Catholic faith. Germaine graduated from Southwestern Louisiana Institute (now known as U.L.L) with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She was a founding member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Germaine later obtained her Master's Degree from Nichols State University. Germaine retired after over 40 years of teaching in public education. Most of her teaching was in 2nd grade classrooms, a favorite of hers. It brought Germaine great pleasure to see her former students and coworkers in the community. Germaine leaves behind her husband of fifty four years, Wayne Delbert Munk; her son, Bradford Thomas Munk and his wife, Diane, of McKinney, TX.; two sisters, Joyce Lasseigne and Maxine Evanoff of Bayou Vista; three grandsons, one granddaughter, two great grandsons and one great granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Germaine was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Francis, Carol, Edward, and Harris Boyne; two sisters, Thelma Blakeman, and Ruby Gonsoulin. The family requests that visitation be observed Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 6pm to 9pm with a rosary being prayed at 7pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation will resume at Hargrave Funeral Home Friday, April 25th at 9am until time of dismissal at 1:30pm. A Mass of Christian burial will take place Friday, April 25th at 2pm at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Berwick with Monsignor Courville officiating services. Services will be dismissed following Mass. Arrangements under the direction of Hargrave Funeral Home, Morgan City, LA. ===================
