Mozella Triggs, age 74, a native of Katy, La., and a  resident of Patterson, La., died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, La., at 4:08 AM.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, La., from 9:00 AM until funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM.  

Burial will follow in the Shield Cemetery of Patterson.

Mozella leaves to cherish her memories; a daughter, Elnora Willis (Ethen, Jr.) of Patterson, La;  three step-daughters, Brenda Robertson and Ella Bennett both of Patterson, La., and Edna Jones of Saracusa, La; one brother, Wardell Reed (Helen Marie) of Crowley, La; four sisters, Buelah Christman of Crowley, La. , Mercedell Williams and Doris Favors (George, Sr.) both of Patterson, La., and Myrtle Jackson of Sorrell, La; five grandchildren, Deon Brown(Michele) of Rochester, NY., Gerren Willis(Ashante) of Frankfort, KY.,  Toi Willis of US Army, FT. Bragg, N. C., Ethan Willis, III of Lafayette, La.,  and Jennifer Sims of Hinesville, GA; five great grandchildren, four godchildren, Rebecca Williams and A'Zhayde Francis both of Patterson, La., Melvin Johnson of Clarksville, TN., and Lakita Henry of Hinesville, GA; and a host of relatives and friends.  Her beloved niece and caregiver, Eveline Dyer.

Mrs. Triggs was preceded in death by her parents, Elnora and Lester Reed, Sr., her husband, Kemper Triggs; five brothers, Lester, Jr., Ernest, Murphy, Norbert, and Henry Reed; a sister, Leola Reed Kinchen, stepmother, Sylvester Lowe Reed, two stepsisters, Emma and Lula Lowe, a stepbrother, Joseph Lowe,  a stepson, Warren Harvey, Sr., and a goddaughter, Phyllis Christman.
