Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline McCarrell Wilder will be held Sunday, April 
27, 2014, at 1:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson, with a gathering of 
family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Bro. Ben Thibodaux will officiate the 
service. 

She will be laid to rest in the Patterson Protestant Cemetery in Patterson.

Mrs. Pauline, who was a native of Rockwood, TX and a 47 year resident of 
Patterson, passed away at the age of 88 on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at her 
daughter's home in Lafayette.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who enjoyed 
spending time with family, a good cup of coffee, and was an avid reader. Many 
will remember her from her time working for the St. Mary Parish School Board as 
the Cafeteria Manager at Patterson High School, where she worked for 17 years. 
Following her retirement from the School Board, she went on to work at the 
Patterson Branch of the St. Mary Parish Library for 23 years, retiring in April 
of 2013 at the age of 87. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by 
all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include one son, Terry Wilder and his wife Kathy of Lakeside, CA; one 
daughter, Libby Vannoy of Lafayette; one brother, Charles McCarrell of Abilene, 
TX; one son-in-law, Jack Jones of Patterson; five grandchildren, Teresa Pearn, 
Michelle Bayne, Casey Jones, Rebecca Barfield, and Patricia Vannoy; and 13 
great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Clarence Wilder; one daughter, 
Carolyn Wilder Jones; one son-in-law, Tommy Vannoy; and her parents, Towery Lee 
McCarrell and Florence Bell Kline McCarrell.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1111 Lia Street, 
Patterson, LA
