Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2014/sm1404.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Johnell Jackson, age 83, a native of Four Corner's, La., and a resident of Baldwin La., died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 12:12 PM at Iberia General in New Iberia, La.. Mr. Jackson was employed and retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Morton Salt & Chemical. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin, La. from 9:00 AM until the beginning of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, with a rosary being recited at 10:30 AM. Burial will immediately follow the services in the Sorrel Community Cemetery. Mr. Jackson leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Mary Nell Connor-Jackson of Baldwin; five sons, Larry J. Jackson (Debra) of New Iberia, La., Michael W. Jackson (Su) of Stuttgart, Germany, Russell Alexis of Abbeville, La., Lance Washington and Jarrod Washington both of New Iberia, La.; three daughters, Janice J. Key (Percy) of Jeanerette, La., Catherine Charles (Joseph Wells) and Sharetka Polidore, both of Four Corners, La.; one brother, Paulfrey J. Jackson (Leona) of Four Corners, La.; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-three great- grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, Able Jackson, Sr. and Mary Rose Matthews-Jackson; two sons, Caster D. Jackson and Johnell Jackson, Jr.; one daughter, Linda L. Mitchell; four brothers, Abel Jackson, Jr., Cleveland Nathaniel, Clemus Jackson, and Benjamin Jackson, Sr.; and three sisters, Mary Bella, Clementine Jackson, and Thelma Jackson. ===================
