George R. Myers, 60, a resident of Morgan City passed away on May 2, 2014 at 
Teche Regional Medical Center.

George was born on August 26, 1953 in Crowley the son of Lawrence Myers and 
Mildred Welch Myers.

George worked for the City of Morgan City for 32 years and enjoyed his years 
with the city. George enjoyed fishing, boating, working in his garden, as well 
as drinking his Bud Light. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially 
playing with the video games with the kids. George was a wonderful husband, 
father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Kathy Myers of 
Morgan City; four sons Jason P. Myers Sr. and wife Jennifer, Joshua Myers and 
wife Kayla, Jeremy Myers and wife Jaelynn, Marshall Daigle, all of Morgan City; 
one daughter Brandy Lambert and husband Glynn of Pierre Part; 15 grandchildren 
Meagan Myers, Jason Myers Jr., Hannah Myers, Hailey Jackson, Hunter Jackson, 
Caitlyn Jackson, Chloe Thibodeaux, Neal Thibodeaux Jr., Cade Mills, Jacie 
Daigle, Autumn Mills, JŽan Myers, Javin Taylor, Jevin Taylor, and Angelle Rose; 
one great grandchild Brooklyn Myers; one brother Jerry Myers and wife Susie of 
Morgan City; one sister Carolyn LeCompte of Houma.

George was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Mildred Welch Myers; 
one brother Johnny Thibodeaux.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Twin City 
Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service 
on Tuesday at the funeral home
