Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2014/sm1406.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Dosher McMurray will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 12:00 PM at the Patterson United Methodist Church where she was a member. She will be laid to rest in the Patterson Protestant Cemetery immediately following services. Rev. Clyde Crappell will officiate the service. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Accardo, Ed Collard, Larry Dosher, Matthew Dosher, Nathan Dosher, Bill Picou, Sr., and Warren Span. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Written, Gabe Beadle, and Jace Guidry. Ann was a native of Fort Necessity and resident of Patterson for the past 54 years. She was born September 20, 1932 in Harrisonburg. She passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Maison Jardin in Morgan City. She taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade in Vinton five years before teaching 25 years in Patterson. During her 30 years of teaching she touched the lives of many children. She was affectionately known by her students as Miss Ann or Mrs. Mac. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years Ernest Ross McMurray; one daughter Tammy Kay Written and her husband Carl Written of Patterson; two grandchildren, Jessica Elaine Beadle and her husband Gabe of Berwick and Jordan Alyssa Guidry and her husband Jace of Bayou Vista; twin great grandchildren, Lux Juliet and Wyatt Gabriel Beadle; two sister-in-laws, Margaret Ruth Dosher of Extension and Shirley Jean Jones of Gilbert; one nephew, Larry Dosher and his wife Sharon of Tomball, TX; one niece, Darlene Collard and her husband Ed of Baton Rouge; two great nephews; two great nieces; one great great nephew; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, John Dosher; her mother, Velma Wooldridge Ross; her step-father, Marvin Jesse Ross; and one brother, Chester Dosher. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Patterson United Methodist Church memorial fund in Ann's name.
