Christy, a resident of Patterson, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 after 
a heroic and courageous battle with ovarian cancer at the age of 39. She will 
always be loved and remembered.

Christy was a teacher at Hattie Watts Elementary for 16 years.

Christy leaves to cherish her memories; her children, Ian, McKenna, Ella, and 
Maya Doucet; her parents, Kurt and Belinda Thibodeaux; a very special 
grandmother, Ruby Breaux; one brother, Steve Thibodeaux and his wife, Renee; a 
niece and nephew, Amber and Kyle Thibodeaux; as well as a host of aunts, 
uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Joseph Breaux Sr. and Wilson 
Thibodeaux; grandmother, Doris Thibodeaux; and one aunt, Nancy Warner.

The family requests that visitation be observed Friday, July 18, 2014 from 6pm 
to 9pm at Hargrave Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 8pm. Visitation 
will resume Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 8am until time of dismissal at 
Hargrave Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, July 
19, 2014 at 10am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Father William Rogalla 
officiating. 

Graveside services will be held in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Donations can be made in Christy's honor to: Cancer Treatment Center of America 
in Georgia.
