LaJaunie, 65, a lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Mary was born on August 11, 1948 in Morgan City the daughter of Frank F. Elliott and Leola Eva LaCoste Elliott. Mary enjoyed cooking as well as watching her soap operas every day. Of all the things Mary did in her life the thing she loved the most was spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters, Helen Elliott and Brent Reed of Pride, LA, Angela Randale and Joel Valdez of Bayou L'Ourse, Veronica Faye LaJaunie and Jamie Singleton of Morgan City; lifelong companion, Leroy Bailey of Morgan City; five grandchildren, Heather Grow and husband Ira, Ejay Acosta and Brittany Bordelon, Kaylan Acosta and Bryan Burns, Brandi Turner and Andrew Hebert, Chris Turner Jr. and Kayla Landry. Mary is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Lou Elliott, Eulah Percle, Penny Elliott, Joyce Romero; four brothers, Frank P. Elliott, Richard "Johnny" Elliott, David J. Elliot Sr., Garry W. Elliott Sr. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy "Johnny" LaJaunie; one sister, Shirley Canty; three brothers, Henry Elliott, Charles Elliott, Thomas "Daniel" Elliott. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Mary will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following the funeral services. ===================
