Vicknair, 79, a resident of Patterson passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Prosser was born on February 2, 1935 in Morgan City the son of Lovence Vicknair Sr. and Erma Pennison Vicknair. In his younger days Prosser enjoyed coming home after a long days work and enjoy his cold beer. He also enjoyed fishing and going camping with his family. Prosser was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. He served his country proudly as a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard, he was also member of the Knights of Columbus in Bayou Vista. Of all the things Prosser did in his life, the thing he loved the most was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Brian J. Vicknair of Baton Rouge and David J. Vicknair of Berwick; one daughter Vickie Lynn Broussard and husband Glenn of Bayou Vista; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Prosser was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Effie Doucet Vicknair; one grandson, Michael Vicknair; one brother, L.J. Vicknair Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Greg Fratt officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Twin City Funeral Home, with visitation resuming on Wednesday morning from 8:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at Sacred Heart Church. Prosser will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad. ===================
