A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014, at 1:00 PM 
at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin for Mr. Darnell Charpentier, 81, a 
longtime resident of Franklin who passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 
23, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. 

He will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. 

Father Thomas Vu will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers will be 
Darnell J. Charpentier, Jr., Bryan Charpentier, Keith Charpentier, Carl 
Latiolais, Trey Hebert, Darnell J. Charpentier, III. Honorary pallbearers will 
be Thomas Latiolais, Bryan Charpentier, Jr., Joseph Charpentier and Nicholas 
Charpentier.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Faye LaGrange Charpentier; five 
children, Darnell J. Charpentier, Jr. and his wife Mollie, Brenda C. Latiolais 
and her husband Carl, Sandra C. Hebert, Bryan Charpentier and his wife Peggy, 
and Keith Charpentier and his wife Tracey; six siblings, Emily C. Fuhrer, Mary 
Lee C. Alcina, Linda C. Louviere, Robert Charpentier, Frank Charpentier, Jr. 
and Terry Charpentier; ten grandchildren, Darnell J. Charpentier, III and his 
wife Emilie, Brooke L. Migues and her husband Lance, Thomas Latiolais and his 
wife Alaina, Karen H. LeBlanc and her husband Timothy, Kelley H. Martin and her 
husband Travis, Trey Hebert and his wife Brandy, Bryan Charpentier, Jr., Joseph 
Charpentier and his wife Monica, Virginia C. Boudreaux and her husband Cordell 
and Nicholas Charpentier; and eight great grandchildren, Alex, Evan, Maegan, 
Jaymin, Ava, Tate, Eli and Wyatt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Charpentier, Sr. and Bernadette 
Lancon Charpentier; seven siblings, Gloria Marcotte, Odile Thibodaux, Barbara 
Boudreaux, Raymond Charpentier, Sr., Herman Charpentier, Stanley Charpentier, 
Sr., and Allen Charpentier; and one son-in-law, Timmy Wayne Hebert.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at St. Jules Catholic 
Church from 10:00 AM until time of Mass, with the rosary being prayed at 11:30 
AM.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Roland

and compassionate care given to Mr. Darnell.
