Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2014/sm1408.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Honorine ÒNeenÓ Guerin Russo, a native of New Roads and resident of Morgan City for over 67 years, passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at the age of 97. Neen is survived by her six children, Ann Constance and her husband, William Houston Johnson, M.D., of Morgan City, Lawrence ÒButchÓ J. Russo, M.D., and his wife, Clara Barrios Russo, of Kingwood, Texas, Cherie Russo Autin, of California, Honorine Abel and her husband, Peter Abel, M.D., of Patterson, Salvadore ÒSammyÓ J. Russo Jr. and his wife, Catherine Levatino Russo, of Morgan City, and James K. Russo and his wife, Fran Blanchard Russo, of Lafayette; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; six great-great- grandchildren; her loving sister, Hazel ÒZelÓ Marie Grezaffi, of New Roads; and her sister-in-law, Rosemary Russo Cashio, of Maringouin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Salvadore J. Russo, M.D.; her father, Adam John Guerin; her mother, Agnes Marie Hebert Guerin; a great- grandchild, William Alexander Guarisco; four brothers, Joseph Amelcar Guerin, Russell Guerin, James Douglas Guerin and John Adam Guerin; and three sisters, Norma Martinez, Christine ÒDollÓ Marie Goudeau and Marie Agnes Martinez. Neen, better known as Mumsy, was passionate about many things in her lifetime, cooking being one of many. Everything Mumsy cooked turned into a delicious meal that her family enjoyed. She loved her family, especially her husband, Salvadore, and she loved God. Her life was lived to the fullest and there arenÕt enough words to express her time on earth. The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City with Neen being laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum following services. Pallbearers will be Kyle Russo, M.D., Sammy Russo, Philip Russo, Miles Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Zachery Johnson, Austin Guarisco and Connor Guarisco. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Peter Abel; her caregivers, Barbara Ardoin, Sandra Bradford, Laurel Bone, Betty Wiltz and Roberta Mire; as well as Heart of Hospice. Lastly, a special thank you to Karen Davidson. In lieu of flowers donations made be made to the Sacred Heart Building Fund or the charity of your choice. ===================
