Billy was born Feb. 20, 1939 in Four Mile Bayou La. Billy regularly attended Sunday mass at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia. Billy was a commercial fisherman all his life. He took pride in his garden, growing the best tomatoes, cucumbers and squash around. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Ann Champagne Gros, 3 sons: Wildon (Laura) Gros Jr of New Caney, Texas, Bryan (Cindy) Gros of Jacksonville, Florida, and Leon (Teri) Gros of Berwick, La, daughter, Gwendelyn Rose Robicheaux of Bayou Vista, La., sisters Vernice (Alden Sr.) Verrett of Bayou Vista La. and Jeanette (Charles) Collier of Bayou L'Ourse, La. 5 grandsons and 6 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons and 3 great granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Lulelia Gros, brothers Roland, Lovelace and Etienne (EJ) Gros, sisters Hazel Adsit and Clara Fryou, granddaughter Lacie Nakoa Robicheaux and grandson Marcus Leon Gros. Visitation will be Tuesday Sept 30th, 2014 10am at the St Andrews Catholic Church with a mass of Christian Burial following at 12 pm. Billy will be laid to rest in the St. Andrews Mausoleum in Amelia. ===================
