Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2014/sm1409.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 13, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson for Mrs. Catherine Tierney Wilson, a New Orleans native and longtime resident of Patterson, who passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 1:30 PM at Teche Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. She will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery. Father Herb Bennerfield will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Wilson, Jack Rock, Steven Wilson, Jody Theriot, Jr., Tyler Wilson, Sean Wilson, and Chelsey Theriot. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, September 12, at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM. Visiting will resume Saturday, September 13, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson from 8:00 AM until time of service. Mrs. Catherine was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. A caring woman, she was always ready to help anyone in need. She was also an avid Saints fan. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband, James J. Wilson, Sr.; four children, Nancy Espana and her husband Miguel of Jeanerette, James J. Wilson, Jr. and his wife Pauline of Centerville, Paul Wilson and his wife Lisa of Patterson, and Bonnie Duval and her husband Jerry of Patterson; one brother, Roland Tierney of Houston; one sister, Anna Mae Leonard of Algiers; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Tierney and Grace Weber Tierney; and one brother, John Tierney, Jr. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1111 Lia Street, Patterson, LA ===================
