James Nelson Thomas, a resident of Morgan City, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2014.

He leaves behind a son, James D. Thomas; three stepchildren, Cora Peterson, 
Barbara Martin and John Fonseca; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-
grandchildren.

He was a longtime member and usher of Sacred Heart Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Fontenot Thomas.

There will be no services. His body has been donated.
