Claude was born on June 26, 1923 in New Orleans the son of Claude Joseph LeBlanc Sr. and Selena Boudreaux Royster LeBlanc. Claude was a member of VFW Post 4222 and served his country with pride in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII serving in the China Burma India Theatre. He was a member of the St. Mary AARP, Louisiana Retired Teachers Association, Member and past treasurer of the St. Mary Association of Mental Health Issues. He was on the Mayor's Committee on Disability Issues and was a commentator at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Claude spent 30 years with the St. Mary Parish School District serving as a teacher, principal, supervisor, and assistant superintendent, and was the very first principal of Berwick High School. After retiring from the parish school system Claude worked for Louisiana Job Service and was the Veteran's Service Counselor for 15 years. When not teaching the young students of St. Mary Parish Claude loved to be in the outdoors tending to his garden and also watching the sun rise and set. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by four children, Claude J. "Lanni" LeBlanc III of St. Louis, MO, Suzanne LeBlanc of Morgan City, Jeanie LeBlanc of Thibodaux, Elizabeth LeBlanc Risk of Bayou Vista; seven grandchildren, Cortney "Josh" Ahoyt, Mandy Wininger, David Risk, Michelle Roberts, Jacqueline Barran, Renee Moenter, Nicole LeBlanc; sixteen great grandchildren, Jayme, Kai, Miah, Porter, Brittany, Hailey, Alexis, Madeleine, Katherine, Beau, Douglas, Andrew, Gabriella, Taylor, Tanner, Ryan.
