Fabre will be held Monday, December 29, 2014, at 1:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM. He will be laid to rest in Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery, with Military Honors conducted by Fort Polk and the East St. Mary Veteran's Funeral Squad. Deacon Brent Bourgeois will conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be James Blythe, Jr., Dale Pennington, Lanny Martin, Jr., Ramus Martin, Richard Sartwell, Dr. John Harrison, III, and Jeremy Harrison. Honorary pallbearer will be Sheffie Fabre. Mr. Fabre passed away at the age of 88 on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during WWII in the European Theater, for which he received several decorations. He had a love for being on the water, which led him to a longtime career as a boat captain, traveling with his family all over the world. However, his true passion in life was his family, which he adored. Survivors include his wife, Janice Thomas Daigle Fabre; his four daughters, Helen Blythe and her husband James Blythe, Sr., Penny Martin, Cathy Theriot and her husband Terry Theriot, and Crystal Harrison and her husband John Harrison, Jr.; one brother, Sheffie Fabre; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annemarie "Ann" Sittler Fabre; two daughters, Carmen Ann Fabre (infant) and Sue Pennington; his parents, Elie Fabre, Sr. and Lemina Pisani Fabre Lemaster; three brothers, Wilmont Fabre, Elie Fabre, Jr., and Milton Fabre, Sr.; one sister, Iris F.
