Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2014/sm1412.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services celebrating the life of Rosella "Rosie" Still Ferreira will be held Friday, December 12, 2014, at 11:00 AM at The Crossing Place Fellowship in Franklin. She will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Pastors Donnie Crane and Brad Bullock will conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:00 AM at the church and continue until time of service. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Price, Rodney Mosher, Richard Mosher, and Barry Dayton. Rosie was a native of Charleston, South Carolina who travelled extensively with her husband during his career in the US Coast Guard. Her passion in life was golf, of which she was very good, having been club champion for over 15 years. She even had three Hole-in-ones. To be near family following the death of her husband, Rosie moved to Verdunville, where she has resided for the past six years. She passed away at the age of 100 years on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at her home. Survivors include one brother, Harley Still; nieces and nephews, Marie Dayton, Anne Mosher, Peggy Mangum, Missy Dupre, and Buddy Magoun; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Ferreira; her parents, Elisha and Zilpha Harley Still; and four sisters, Nell Cooper, Caroline Corbitt, Willie Sears, and Lois Rovolis. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of her caregivers throughout the years, most recently Marilyn Edwards and Bobbie Robinson.
