Dudley James Guidry, 74, a resident of New Iberia passed away Monday, December 
22, 2014.

Dudley was born on September 12, 1940 in New Iberia the son of Abel and Ozelia 
Lorman Guidry.

Dudley was a boat captain by trade and enjoyed being out on the water in his 
boat. He was the type of person who always had to stay busy and you could find 
him either building things or fixing things.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters, Victoria 
Guidry LeBlanc and husband Lucien, Allison Guidry DeLaRosa and husband Juan 
both of Bayou L’Ourse; five grandchildren, Erin DeLaRosa Harper and husband 
Harold, Tyra LeBlanc, Jordan DeLaRosa, Zachary LeBlanc, Madyson DeLaRosa all of 
Bayou L’Ourse; one great granddaughter, Zoey DeLaRosa of Bayou L’Ourse; four 
sisters; two brothers.

Dudley was preceded in death his parents and wife Shirley Ratcliff Guidry.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 
Twin City Funeral Home with Monsignor J. Douglas Courville officiating with a 
visitation being held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. 

Dudley will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following the services
