Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2014/sm1412.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services celebrating the life of Verda "Dookie" Persilver Hebert will be held Friday, December 5, 2014, at a 1:00 PM memorial service at Little Pass Baptist Church in Charenton. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at the church from 11:00 AM until time of service. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. Rev. Dr. Chris Holloway and Rev. Bobby Hodnett will officiate the services. Mrs. Verda was a native of Franklin and a lifelong resident of Charenton, who passed away at the age of 67 on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Franklin Foundation Hospital. Survivors include her husband of nearly 51 years, Eugene "Neg" L. Hebert, Sr.; two daughters, Rona H. Concienne and her husband Jed and Cindy H. Johnson; one son, Eugene "Brother" L. Hebert, Jr. and his companion Katherine Jones; two brothers, Roy Persilver and his wife Margie and Barry Persilver and his wife Julie; five grandchildren, Hollie C. Colvin and her husband BJ, Jake Concienne and his wife Natalie, Chay A. Guillory, Bryce Hebert, and Braylon Hebert; and three great grandchildren, Kathryn and James Colvin and Evangeline Concienne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo William Persilver and Nellie Higgins Persilver; two brothers, Leo "LJ" Persilver, Jr., Russell "Cat" Persilver; two sisters, Birdie Mae Johnson and Gertie Fay Bailey; and two infant sisters, Ruth and Barbara Persilver.
