Bernadine Elizabeth Rovaris-Irving, age 89, a resident of Morgan City, LA and a 
native of New Orleans, displaced by hurricane Katrina, died Monday, December 1, 
2014 at her daughters residence in Morgan City, LA . Mrs. 

Irving was born November 27, 1925 at Old Spanish Fort New Orleans, Louisiana. 
The daughter of the late Jules Rovaris, Sr. and Pearl Foster Rovaris. 
Bernadine R. Irving was a retired secretary for Dillard University.

Visitation will be from 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. on Saturday December 13, 
2014 at the Corpus Christi Church 2022 Saint Bernard Ave. New Orleans, LA 
70116, with a rosary being recited at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will 
begin at 10:00 A.M. 

Burial will follow in the St. Louis #1 Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.

Cherished and divine memories will forever be rembered by her loving and 
devoted children, Felix E. P. Irving, II (Betty) and Sharon Ann Irving both of 
Morgan City, LA; one sister Theresa Vivian Rovaris-Morris of Lake City, FL; two 
grandchildren, Sharon E. Irving-Whitfield of Houston, TX and Felix Irving, III 
of Rapid CIty, SD; three great-grandchildren, Oz Philip Irving of Rapid City, 
SD and Taylor and Shelby Whitfield both of Houston, TX as well as several other 
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mrs. Irving was preceded in death by her parents, Jules and Pearl Foster-
Rovaris, Sr.; one brother, Jules Rovaris, Jr. and one sister, Lydia Ramona 
Rovaris-Valeary.
