Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2015/sm1501.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Amy Mae Champanier, 84, a resident of Patterson, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at Teche Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Amy was born on March 27, 1930 in Bayou Chene the daughter of Mose and Violet Written Champanier. In her early years Amy enjoyed being in the outdoors cutting wood with her family. She loved getting to spend time visiting with her family but loved spending time with her sister Myrtle who took care of her for over 50 years. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister, Myrtle Austin and husband R.D. of Patterson; two nieces, Agnes Hebert and husband Kenneth of White Castle and Carol Howse and husband Paul of Patterson; numerous great nieces and nephews. Amy was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Louise Champanier; three brothers, Adam Champanier, Alvin Champanier and Leo Thompson; one niece Jessie Mae Munns; one nephew, Terry Mitchell. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor John Locascio officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2014 at Twin City Funeral Home. The visitation will resume from 9:00 a.m. until dismissal for church on Monday at the funeral home. Following the services Amy will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
