Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2015/sm1501.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Herbert Leon Jacobs, age 91, a native of Oakdale, La., and a resident of Morgan City, La., passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Patterson Healthcare at 8:13 AM. Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Siracusaville Recreation Center, 1110 Grace St., Morgan City, LA at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery with Military Honors. Herbert was a veteran of The United States Army. The East St. Mary Funeral Squad will perform at Graveside. He leaves to cherish his memories; three sons, Ronald D. Jacobs (Rachida) of Pensacola, Fl., H. Glynn Jacobs (Marina) of Mesquite, TX., and Rinaldi Eugene Jacobs (Belinda) of Baton Rouge, La.; two daughters, Hettie Jacobs Carries of Morgan City, La., and Paulette Jacobs Toussaint of Conyers, GA; a brother, Paul Wiltz Jacobs, Jr., of Colorado Springs, CO; four sisters, Majester J. Clayton of Compton, CA., Hilda J. Simon of Bunkie, La., Maryland J. Allen of Colorado Springs, CO., and Irma J. Love of Mobile, AL; a sister-in-law, Nancy Harris Carter of Morgan City, La; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Wiltz Jacobs, Sr., and Julia Isabelle Brinkley Jacobs., his wife, Hettie L. Harris Jacobs, a daughter, Juliette Leon Jacobs, three brothers, Harold, Charles and Maxine Jacobs; and a sister, Annie Murl J. Carmouche. US Army ===================
