Herbert James Martin, Sr. age 63, a resident of Charenton, LA died Saturday, 
January 10, 2015 at the Franklin Foundation Hospital in Franklin, LA.

Visitation will be observed on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Jones Funeral 
Home 1101 Main Street Franklin, LA, from 8:00 AM until funeral services at 
10:00 AM. 

Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery of Charenton, LA.

Cherished and divine memories of Herbert Sr. will forever be remembered by his 
loving wife of 44 years Francine Martin; five sons Herbert Martin Jr. (Sharon), 
Reginald Martin (Vickie), and Kedern Martin of Charenton, LA; Michael Lee 
Martin (Geraldine) of St. Martinsville, LA; Kevin Martin Sr. (Millerson) of New 
Iberia, LA; three daughters Lakendra Martin, Lakedra Martin, and Lakoya Martin 
of Charenton, LA; seven brothers Micheal Phillips (Myra) of Georgetown, LA, 
Wade Phillips (Bessie) of Lydia LA, Ervin Phillips Sr. (Gay) of Franklin, LA, 
Keith Martin, Chad Martin, Scott Martin, and Stephon Martin of Port Arthur, 
Texas, one uncle Joseph Beniot (Elizabeth) of Scott, LA; two aunts Ruby Lee 
Roberts (Darrell) of Rayne, LA and Shirley Beverly of Crowley, LA; mother-in-
law Victoria Butler of New Iberia, LA, one sister-in-law Lorraine Mitchell of 
New Iberia, LA, one brother-in-law Eldridge Butler III of New Iberia, LA; 18 
grandchildren Jasmine Miller, Reginald Sutton, Micheal Martin Jr., Miguel 
Martin, Briclon Martin, Brianna Martin, Tara Neeka Green, Ziyria Green, 
Jamarius Martin, Carldell Stevenson, Aysia Martin, Tamia Stewart, Carlayisa 
Martin, Carltez Martin, Carlin Martin, Kevin Martin Jr., Kaden Martin, and 
Reg'szanea Collins; two great-grandchildren Carmron Miller and Roland Harris 
Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Herbert was preceded in death by his parents Ruby Phillips and Hubert Martin 
Sr.; two brothers Hubert Martin Jr. and Earl K. Phillips; and one sister Cheryl 
Fisk.
