Junius "June" Short, 69, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of 
Gibson, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 9:57 p.m.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m until funeral time at the church. The funeral 
will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist 
Church, 4928 N. Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, LA 70356. 

Burial will follow in Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church cemetery.

He is survived by: two brothers, Lynward (Ruby) Short and Howard Short, Sr.; 
three sisters, Lorenda (James) Howard, Catherine (Bruce) Wolfe and Crystal 
(Johnny) Marks; and his godmother, Myrtle Seymore.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph, Jr. and and Lillian Mitchell 
Short; two brothers, McCoy Short and Quinton Short; paternal grandparents, 
Joseph, Sr. and Nola Calloway Short; and maternal grandparents, Frank and Della 
Mitchell.

He was a US Navy Veteran.
