Letha P. Barard, age 96, a native of Verdunville, La., and a  resident of 
Morgan City, La., died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 9:30 PM at her residence 
in Morgan City, La.

Visitation will be observed Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church in Morgan City, La., from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM, with a rosary 
being recited at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian will begin at 10:00 AM. 

Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery (St. Anthony Society) in Morgan 
City, LA.

Memories of Letha will forever be cherished in the heart of her son, Kevin O. 
Barard (Kim) of Lafayette, LA; her six daughters, Barbara Queen (Richard) of 
Thibodaux, LA, Carolyn Phillips, Shirley O'Brien, and Lucretia Poplus all of 
Morgan City, LA; Iris Notto of Lafayette, LA, and Mary Braud (Jeffrey) of KY; 
one brother, Edward Paul. Jr. (Marva) of Franklin, LA; two sisters, Lucretia 
LaVigne of Oakland, CA and Hazel Poplus of Kenner, LA; fourteen grandchildren, 
twenty-two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other 
relatives and friends.

Letha was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Paul, Sr. and Lydia Dardar-
Paul; her husband, Archielle Barard and one son, Emanuel Barard.
